Candles by Concord Opens New Site and Blog for Concord Candle Lovers

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) March 31, 2008 -- Concord candles have long been synonymous with quality in the candle industry, which is what led Norman Sharpe to open www.CandlesByConcord.com and develop an exclusive partnership with the Concord Candle company. "Initially going back about 7 or 8 years ago, I bought a number of candles at Christmas time as gifts," explains Norman, recalling how he came to know the Concord brand. "I was very impressed -- they burned great, and I'm still using some of the big pillar candles today. I thought I'd approach Concord Candles to see if anyone was selling their candles online. My initial research showed that no one was selling online, and you have to order their products via catalog, which led to my starting the site."

The site itself officially opened on March 19th of this year, offering many of Concord's finest products, but it did not in itself educate shoppers about the quality of their products. This led to the establishment of www.CandlesByConcord.net, Norman's educational blog. "We're going to use the blog to focus on different types of products and categories of products on the site," explains Norman. "We're going to put information on there. We're also going to use the blog from time to time to highlight feature sales on the site. We're going to be using the blog to advertise that and to connect people to our online store."

While candles have become ubiquitous on the Internet, Concord's superior craft puts them head and shoulders above the rest. "I believe the quality of our candles sets us apart," says Norman, whose enthusiasm for his products are well-founded. "That's certainly been the reputation for Concord Candles. I think the variety of our candles is very large, and rivals any other site out there. The difference is that we're only representing the products of one manufacturer, simply because we believe in the quality of it. There's no question that Concord Candles' quality is as good as it gets in the candle business, which is why they enjoy such a great reputation in the US and Canada."

To celebrate the launch of the new web site and blog, Candles by Concord is running a special promotion until the end of April. "Our markup on products is already about half of what you'd see in a normal retail setting -- in other words, we're offering the product for about 25% less than you'd purchase in a store," explains Norman, "but for the new site launch on March 19th we have an additional 10% discount on all of our products in the online store, provided that you sign up for our newsletter."
