Rain Shadow Gardens Gives Customers a Forum to Talk with a New Blog

Ocala, FL (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- Linda Cain of Rain Shadow Gardens has launched a new blog at www.RainShadowGardensBlog.com, giving her customers insight into the products she offers and the workings of her store, as well as the opportunity to discuss gardening with other enthusiasts. "I love to get my hands in the dirt and watch plants grow, so I created Rain Shadow Gardens," explains Linda, a lifelong gardener who opened www.RainShadowGardens.com in 2003. "I want our new blog to be open for discussing any and all garden-related topics, and I plan on posting regularly."

Opening her blog is just the latest in the long list of ways that Linda looks after her clients. Rain Shadow Gardens has been providing them with practical and inexpensive garden utilities and decorations for years, all under her watchful eyes. "I did research on high-quality, practical, and decorative garden products, and found some excellent manufacturers to work with," she explains, discussing the constantly-evolving product catalog. "We want to continue to research and add high quality garden products. We recently added Grandpa's Weeder, which is a unique and old-fashioned way of pulling up weeds without strain. It's very popular, so we're considering stocking the other new Grandpa's Weeder line, with several new tools that we may be adding."

Linda says she is looking forward to hearing about her customers' gardening experiences, as well as sharing information about her own garden. "I'm going to be growing basil and cilantro, for sure; tomatoes and bell peppers, as well," she says. "My last garden in Colorado was huge and raised, and we had rows of corn. We're not going to have room for that here, unfortunately; that was such a wonderful garden. Getting older, a raised garden is definitely the only kind of garden that I'm interested in tending."

Rain Shadow Gardens is also involved in giving back to the community, taking part in a Community-Supported Agriculture program that supports a local farm and reaps them a portion of the bounty. "That's making do until we get our garden going," says Linda, who hopes to get others involved through her blog.
