People have different thoughts that want to express. Mostly, they cannot show it because of many reasons. Most people just keep their thoughts inside them and never speak it out. Writing is a good way to express these thoughts. People who are afraid to express themselves verbally or by gestures can find an outlet in the written word. Writing can help them communicate with others. The obvious reason to make your writing available on the web is so others can discover them and continue the discussion. Newspapers and magazines have "letters to the editor" for similar reasons, but the goal is to provide insight and information. With the introduction of newer technologies, new ways now exist to share people's thoughts. Blogs are just one way that high-tech, and faster communications have enabled a way to share ideas more quickly. A web site based journal where people are able to publish their ideas and thoughts online is called a blog. Anyone wanting to both give and share information may start a blog. In most cases, a blog is straight forward and free. Blog is a shortened term for a web blog or a web log. Adding an article to an already existing blog and authoring and maintaining a blog is called blogging. Blog posts or entries are the individual articles that are on a blog and the person who is posting these entries is called a blogger. Blogs are the fastest growing mode of mass communication in the world today. Blogs are very powerful. It has the capabilities of affecting elections, corporate policy and even brings down a country. It has the power of changing the mind and mentality of human. Blogs can change the world. A blog is a good way for people to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions in a fast and efficient way. Here's a few tips on how to start a blog. 1. Be sure to look for a variety of blog sites. Some sites are free and some charge fees. Features will vary on all free or charge blog sites. Second, blog sites that draw your attention should be the ones you are investigating and looking at. 3. You can have either a personal or a private blog. The choice is up to you. Do you want everyone to be able to have access to your thoughts? Would you prefer to limit access to only family and friends? If you want to restrict access, choose one of the many blog sites which offers password protection. Then you will be able to choose those allowed to visit your site. You should be the one who makes the decision. 4. You can create the look of your blog. Decide on how you want it to appear. You can choose color scheme and layout that will satisfy you. Most sites come with sets of predefined layouts and scheme where you can choose from or you can edit your own. After you have set up your blog, you need to make sure it works by writing some posts. Make the necessary adjustments after this step. 6. If you want to make your blog look more attractive, there are some sites with many features to make it look better. 7). After you create your blog, you can now publish it by sending the URL to the people you hope will read and enjoy it. You should also make sure to clearly state the URL on your website. If you happen to post comments to other blogs, add your URL to those posts. Be sure to run a spell check before posting your blog. Keep the posts informational and interesting. Avoid focusing on topics that most readers would find boring or useless. If you desire your blog to have a more constant reader base and have people visit it frequently, then you should update the blog regularly. You should strive to attract readers that motivate you to write more. In return, more people will visit and read your material. Don't feel bogged down if your site isn't visited for the first few months. We are in a very large society with different communities, so it will take some time for your blog to be noticed by others. To appeal to a broad reading audience, you should take care with the words that you use. You should use words that most people can understand. You should also avoid using colloquial slang or too many abbreviations since those can be major turn-offs for readers. Writing or adding to a blog requires a certain amount of dedication and honesty. In every article posted, the reader should feel the ideas, thoughts, opinions, and even heartfelt emotions of the writer.
